Welcome back!

I hope you all had a great summer and enjoyed the many sunny days we have been fortunate enough to have. Really hoping it lasts longer, particularly as we are going to have swimming for another month. It will be great to have Coach Kenny again.

Hooray our central heating system was upgraded during the summer and builders managed to finish on time! At least we can now look forward to a warmer winter.  Shortly our new nursery building will be arriving and we will be able to closely watch it develop. Very exciting!

Please join me in welcoming our new members of staff to Midfield. I feel like I spent most of my first year interviewing for a range of posts, but I am delighted to have appointed such a highly experienced and skilled bunch. This will no doubt compliment the rest of the team, which are very much dedicated and committed in taking Midfield to an outstanding level. Onwards and upwards!

Bye for now. Look out for my future blogs J

Welcome to my new blog page! This is an opportunity to communicate with you all more personally and update you on most recent news and events. Please do feel free to reply back.

Today I have very exciting news to share! First of all congratulations and well done to Year 6 for achieving the best ever KS2 results here at Midfield. 100% of pupils achieved at least a level 4 in reading, writing and maths. That’s all 26 pupils! Wow, what amazing achievement. This means that all our Year 6 pupils will leave Midfield with adequate literate and numerate skills that they can build on in the future. We wish them good luck, health and happiness. A huge well done to staff who have impacted on their learning during their primary school journey. Although special thanks must go to Miss Findlay who has been their teacher since Year 4. Not forgetting of course Mrs Fanucci and Mrs Long for their outstanding contributions too.

My second bit of news is that Midfield has achieved an Investors in People award. This is recognition of our high performing team and the value we place upon growing and developing our staff. The assessor came in and interviewed members of staff and governors. Well done to the Midfield team!
